Το Σάββατο 24 Μαίου 2008 στον Ελέυθερο Κοινωνικό Χώρο NOSOTROS (Θεμιστοκλέους 66) στις 10.00 μ.μ. θα έχουμε την ευκαιρία να ακούσουμε τον Τασο Σαγρή να διαβάζει εκτεταμένα αποσπάσματα από το βιβλίο του "Για την Ανθρώπινη Αγάπη στις Δυτικές Μητροπόλεις" σε συντονισμένο ζωντανό αυτοσχεδιασμό με τον space ambient, dubstep και experimental electronica ήχο του d.j. Kinomatik και τις παράληλες προβολές video art Τέχνης του Κενού από το Void Optical Art Laboratory

O Τάσος Σαγρής γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1972 .Το 1990 δημιούργησε το συγκρότημα Horror Vacui με τους οποίους έκανε εκατοντάδες συναυλίες έως το 1996 και ηχογράφησε τον δίσκο «Πόθος:Μια Τριλογία για Έναν Άγγελο». Το 1990 επίσης, μαζί με μια πλειάδα πολιτισμικών ακτιβιστών, ποιητών, multi media καλλιτεχνών,μουσικών, d.js, ταξιδευτών, ανθρωπολόγων, αρχιτεκτόνων και ενεργών κοινωνικών όντων συνδιαμόρφωσε το πολιτικό, φιλοσοφικό και καλλιτεχνικό ρεύμα «Η Ομάδα Στον Τρόμο του Κενού» το οποίο μετονομάστηκε το 1996 σε «Κενό Δίκτυο (Θεωρία, Ουτοπία, Συναίσθησηκαι Εφήμερες Τέχνες)» και συνεχίζει να ασκεί μέχρι σήμερα την πολύμορφη δράση του. Ο Τάσος Σαγρής μελέτησε ανατολική φιλοσοφία, Βουδισμό Ζεν και Βουδισμότου Μεγάλου Άρματος και παρακολούθησε διδασκαλίες του Δαλάι Λάμα. Μελέτησε ιστορία των πολιτισμών της Γης, Ιστορία των θρησκειών,των παγανιστικών λατρειών και Ιστορία των κινημάτων της Τέχνης, αρχαία ελληνική φιλοσοφία, κυρίως Ηράκλειτο και αρχαίο Πυρώνειο Σκεπτικισμό όπως επίσης κλασσικούς και σύγχρονους Ελευθεριακούς και Αναρχικούς πολιτικούς στοχαστές και σύγχρονη Αυτονομία. Ταξίδεψε για μακρές περιόδους στην Ασία, την Ευρώπη και την Αμερική ως αναχωρητής, στοχαστικός ταξιδευτής, πολιτισμικός ακτιβιστής και περιπλανώμενος. Στα πλαίσια των δραστηριοτήτων του Κενού Δικτύου εργάσθηκε κατά κύριολόγο στην δημιουργία ανοιχτών δωρεάν-αφιλοκερδών καταστάσεων στοΔημόσιο χώρο των Μητροπόλεων. Εμφανίσεις του έγιναν στην Ελλάδα, την Ευρώπη, την Ασία και την Αμερική σε πολλά κοινωνικά κέντρα,κατειλημμένα κτήρια, πανεπιστημιακούς και ανεξάρτητους χώρους,κεντρικές πλατείες, δρόμους, βουνά, παραλίες. Θεωρείται από τους πρωτοπόρους της ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής, των multimedia εγκαταστάσεων, της εφήμερης τέχνης, των ανεξάρτητων φεστιβάλ όπως και των μουσικών και εικαστικών πολυδρώμενων στην Ελλάδα (multimedia δρώμενα ποίησης «Περιβάλλοντα Λέξεων», «Indie Free Festival», «Electro Free Festival», δημόσια rave parties, εικαστικά δρώμενα καιεκθέσεις «Τέχνης του Κενού», συναυλίες πειραματικής μουσικής,διαλέξεις, διαδηλώσεις, «Ουτοπικές Ατμόσφαιρες» και «Πειράματα Ανοιχτού Διαλόγου»).

We are so happy to find ourselves again in the Polytechnic University campus of Athens that it seems to be our most favorite place fororganizing our celebrations. The first raves in Greece started here byVoid Network in 1992...and is been a long long wayuntil now...The president of the university triesto keep the campus as a closed castle during the weekendsand negates any chance of autonomous iniciative that comesfrom independent students or citizens...We will not allow this to happen...With our small powers we fight for Utopia and FreedomWe want to see many different companies of friendsto reclaim the university campus all around Europe and express their ideas, their lifestyles, their arts and visions...
The Electro Free Festival no.9 had a lot of problems to face but also had the luck to be one of the best underground events for electronic sound of this year.In the first day (Friday 9 May 2008) more than 1200 people came to travel in the future sound of electronic dance musik.The main stage accomodated the new sound of psychedelic trance with some of the fresh djs as Fan E, Gloster, Leandros as also some underground respectfull sound explorers as d.j. Nikitas and Prizon. In the second stage, the Chill out area, also we had the chance to hear some new artists of Void Network collectiveas Spiral Eternal (aka SpiralX) and Highpno as also Sissy Stardust and Raman that offered to all of us a space out experience of thoughtfull ambient.

In the second day (Saturday 10 May 2008) more than 3000 people came to the festival that transformed in 3 stages dance experience. The Techno stage show started with Kinomatik and George Apergisand d.j. Dura and Keltia from England took everybody in anelectro acid techno manik dancing night...D.j. DD and Kernecoremodeplayed inspirational space dubstep sounds in the morning also there.In the Dub Reggae stage appeared some of the best artistsof Athenian dub reggae scene (that is big enough nowdays anyway)"Underground Reggae Movement Sound System" and Bushman Tribe from Void Network played original Jamaican dub reaggae in the south European lands and Direct Connection Sound System played some of the best dubstep tunes of our times. In the trance stage Highpno and d.j Vertigo from Void Network started the night with neo-Goa and atmospheric trance sounds, Chris D prooved that he is a new and very interesting sound traveler in the Athenian underground scene and Dr.Sammy prooved thatas he promissed to all of us some weeks ago "he was ready to burn the place down"...Everybody dancing in the open sky, shouting as wild andexpressing an ecstatic way of collective life...When Iraklis Mindphaser from Natural High family appearedeverybody was allready mad as crazy for hard, heavy psychedelic fullon sound and the crazy dancing continued...Just ten minutes before the sunrise d.j. Crystal Zero from Void Networkcontinued the rave experience with his magikal sound blend of new space psychedelic trance and electro acid Goa tunes...It was mind exploding! The people was kissing each other, unknown people was falling together in the ground and crowling likecrazy primitives, the girls and boys was smiling and a wonderfull daywas starting for everybody...D.j. Shotokan and d.j. Tigran finished the event and opened a prommiss for all of us...The next rave have to be as soon as possible!

We have to thank all artists, d.j.s. and cultural activists that participated in the creation of this Temprary Autonomous Public Zoneas also all people that gave their wonderfull energy to the dancefloorsand the chill out areas of the festival offering to each otherthis great experience...Electro Free Festival no.9 just one week after Legalize it Festival continued the neo-hippy tribalism and the effortsunderground cultural movement with the best effect on all of usThe summer is coming and all of us we are ready for it now!...

A realy effective totalitarian state would be this one in which the powerful bosses would govern with the help of the executives their population of slaves, with not need of repression because the slaves love obeying and submission. As the social fights degrees, as the diversity is identified with danger, and any form of reaction is minimized with psychological and legal methods, the universities are transformed in profitable nekropolis and the public space is disappearing in privatised areas of merchandising uses, this already has been achieved. In the current common-sense, in the modern metropolis where the persons watch from their couches the decisions and developments that concern their lives without any need of intervention, influence or participation in them, the persuasion of masses for the gifts of submission passes through the work of the ministries of propaganda, the editors of newspapers and the owners of t.v. channels as also all academicians and universities elites that they live consulting for the better guidance of the citizens. The daily apathy, the acceptance of work and the attendance of all in the ethics of national state, market and merchandise perpetuate the destruction of Earth! All the beauty of nature is hidden in the terror and the uncountable sorrow of all of us for her disappearance. Day by day the desert expands in our hearts as it expands in our world. Our world in any case unfortunately is very limited as we are lost in our individual and collective delusions. The great highways, the expensive cars, the super markets, the luxury hotels, the galleries and the expensive clubs and restaurants are part of the desert. The political parties, the police and armies, the pseudo-reality of the market and our submissive way of life cannot lead us outside from the desert because all these are also parts of the desert. They will still exist many governors and thousands small or big businessmen which will get rich from the destruction of Earth and they will control the travel of our life in this deserted world.

When we fight - we fight for our lives.

Ένα πραγματικά αποτελεσματικό ολοκληρωτικό κράτος θα ήταν αυτό που τα παντοδύναμα αφεντικά θα διεύθυναν με τα στελέχη τους ένα πληθυσμό σκλάβων, οι οποίοι δεν χρειάζεται να καταστέλλονται διότι αγαπούν την υποτέλεια. Στο βαθμό που τα πεδία εμφάνισης των κοινωνικών αγώνων μειώνονται, η διαφορετικότητα ταυτίζεται με την επικινδυνότητα, κάθε μορφή αντίδρασης εκμηδενίζεται με ψυχολογικές και νομικές μεθοδεύσεις, τα πανεπιστήμια μετατρέπονται σε κερδοφόρες νεκροπόλεις και ο δημόσιος χώρος εξαφανίζεται σε ιδιωτικοποιημένες ζώνες εμπορευματικών χρήσεων, αυτό έχει ήδη επιτευχθεί. Στα σημερινά καθεστώτα, και δη στη σύγχρονη μητρόπολη όπου οι άνθρωποι παρακολουθούν από τους καναπέδες τους τις αποφάσεις και εξελίξεις που αφορούν τις ζωές τους χωρίς καμιά διάθεση παρέμβασης σε αυτές, η πειθώ των μαζών για τα καλά της υποτέλειας περνάει από τα υπουργεία προπαγάνδας, τους μεγαλοαπατεώνες εκδότες εφημερίδων και ιδιοκτήτες καναλιών και όσους ακαδημαϊκούς ζουν συμβουλεύοντας για την καλύτερη χειραγώγηση των ανθρώπων. Η καθημερινή απάθεια, η αποδοχή της εργασίας και η συμμετοχή όλων στην ηθική του έθνους κράτους, της αγοράς και του εμπορεύματος διαιωνίζει την καταστροφή της Γης!
Όλη η ομορφιά της φύσης κρύβεται στον τρόμο και την απροσμέτρητη λύπη όλων μας για την εξαφάνιση της. Η έρημος μέρα με την ημέρα απλώνεται στις καρδιές μας όπως απλώνεται και στον κόσμο μας.
Ο κόσμος μας ούτως ή άλλως δυστυχώς είναι πολύ περιορισμένος καθώς χανόμαστε μέσα στις ατομικές και τις συλλογικές μας αυταπάτες. Οι τεράστιοι δρόμοι, τα ακριβά αυτοκίνητα, τα πολυκαταστήματα,
τα χλιδάτα ξενοδοχεία, οι γκαλερί και τα ακριβά εστιατόρια είναι μέρος της ερήμου. Τα πολιτικά κόμματα, η αστυνομοκρατία και η στρατοκρατία, οι φενακισμοί της αγοράς και ο υποδουλωμένος τρόπος ζωής μας δεν μπορούν να μας οδηγήσουν έξω από την έρημο γιατί είναι και αυτά μέρη της ερήμου. Θα υπάρξουν πολλοί ακόμα κυβερνήτες και χιλιάδες μικροί-μεγάλοι επιχειρηματίες που θα πλουτίζουν από την ερήμωση της Γης και που θα κυβερνούν
το ταξίδι της ζωής μας στην έρημο του κόσμου.

during Global Day of Million Marijuana March

was a great effort of many different collectives and many cultural activists to bring thousands and thousands people together in a great celebration of self-determination and freedom.

More than 6.000 people in the first day and about 15.000 people in the second day attended the event. The three different stages gave to all of us the chance to share 2 nights with all the different cultures and music styles and breaking some pseudo-barriers and pseudo-identities like “rocker”, “trancer” , “technoman” , “reggaeman”, bouzoukiman” or whatever commercialized trend and style keep us away one to each other.

This was a proof of unity, love and ecstatic enthusiastic life!

100 underground musicians, producers, visual artists, d.j.s, bands and mc’s offered their work for free together with many cultural activists and proved to anyone in this society that the underground movement is the stronger local cultural creative community of our times (as all tv and radio is full of stupidity and the official State organized culture and the "art market" is boring and conservative reproduction of the underground concepts and productions) .
We have to thank all artists and people that participated in the creation of this open public autonomous ephemeral zone and we hope all the good vibes that came out from our co-existence there to become stronger and wiser in the future.

TOTAL FREEDOM GLOBAL FESTIVAL
for the underground cultures
that took place in the squatted cultural and political social center Rote Flora in Hamburg / Germany during 29 Feb/ 1 Mar./ 2 Mar. 2008 maybe it was one of the best things Void Network did the last year. Not only cause more than 2000 people came to this 3 days celebration of all underground cultures in Rote Flora but mostly cause it was a great opportunity for us to work with the people of Rote Flora as also with the other collectives that participated to the festival (Global Eye, ArtCore, Celtic Heritage, CrimeThink, Vat_Om Lab, Funxion collective).
It seems that this will be the way that Void Network will follow in the future : bringing together cultural activists, political and artistic groups, the finest underground lecturers, visual artists, d.j.s and musicians and manifesting with all of them cross-platform collaborations in the form of many days Temporary Autonomous Ecstatic Public Zones.
It seems that our need for co-creativity starts to expand to a big number of people and groups that want to share the show room, the many different stages as also to have active collaborative contact with us...
Slowly slowly in all Europe appearing a new wave of deep, real friendship between our collectives, groups, creative people, companies of friends, social centers e.t.c. that want to travel together, to make plans, that they have common visions...common understandings...and common practices. It appears a personal face to face and heart to heart trust and the strong need to live, work and fight together for social liberation, cultural revolution, transformation of the mentality, expanding of one into the other, stronger solidarity and open sharing of sources, materials, ideas, visions, plans and solutions. We want to create together the conditions of social life that will give to us and to everybody the opportunity to escape from the blackmail of employment as also to create educational and artistic spaces that will give to us and to everybody the opportunity to escape from the blackmail of the culture-factory (clubs, bars, concert halls, galleries, restaurants, internet cafes, cinemas e.t.c.). We will take our life back from capitalistic market step by step, activity to activity, need to need, wish to wish...This was the understandings of the Open Public Dialogue : "Talking About Total Freedom" that took place in the afternoon of the festival's second day between all the activists and the organizing collectives of the festival.
As about the festival itself , it expanded in 3 different stages that tried to include all different styles of contemporary sound so as to break the barriers between the different music styles and the variety of urban street-fashions to blend all people in a massive wave of all-inclusive ecstatic celebration of the underground resistance. And the people took this message and make it a celebrating explosion. It was really great! This is the conclusion of Total Freedom Global Festival of Hamburg and this is the plan of the future : all-inclusive open conditions of ecstatic co-existence. See you on the barricades of our everyday life co-existence! (We have to thank all cultural activists of Rote Flora, DubCafe and ArtCore for the great help and the inspirational deco., all groups, international and local artists that made the squatted building pumping from the basement to the sky, all visual artists that offered to us visions and thoughts, all people they helped in the entrance, the kitchen, the constructions, the technical equipments, the bar, the cleaning...all this wonderful people. But also... We have to thank mostly...all this 2000 (or maybe more?) wonderful people from Hamburg that gave their spirit and energy to the festival, all the ravers, the crazy neo-hippies, the anarchist antifas, the drunk punks, the electro robots and the hardcore techno-freaks, the psychedelic trancers, the drum 'n bass manicdancers, the beautifull and the ugly girls and boys, the peculiar dubstep schizophrenics and the chillout area lovers, the enthusiastic paranoids and the melancholic romantics... all this beautiful people of Hamburg that made all this experience happen...Thank You!)

It was a great adventure.... Four of us traveled in Frankfurt as participation of Void Network and Global Eye (London Void Network) to the Gathering of the Tribes festival. The weather was very cold, snow was falling almost all weekend but we was full of enthusiasm cause we met each other "on stage" again, continue traveling after Hamburg, continue the dream of revolutionary nomadic life. In Saturday, during the first day of the festival D.J. Crystal Zero and Sissy Stardust opened the chill out area with a 3 hours space ambient psychedelic set from 7 to 11 , they played their official mind exploding programme from 3 to 6 in the night and in the meantime from 2 until 10 o clock in the morning Global Eye and Void Optical Art Laboratory was playing Void Art show in the main stage giving to everybody the opportunity to share some great visuals, some inspirational visions, some influential thoughts...The people loved it! The festival was taking place in a block with 4 different stages and it was an interesting experience to see all people flow from stage to stage for almost three days... During Sunday afternoon (in the programmed hour of our workshop) we had the great chance to organize with The Hedonist International and Alice-Project as also with many other people a spontaneous demonstration for Free Tibet from the festival to the Chinese Consultant Office...It was a dream...The Hedonists was making a workshop about mobile sound systems and suddenly our workshop became a demonstration! we was so happy as we had in plan to make some action for Tibet in Athens or in London and we found to do this in Frankfurt! About 100 people demonstrated shouting Free Tibet!Free Tibet in the streets of Frankfurt and dancing to the sounds of the mobile sound systems...We stayed in front of the Chinese Consultant Office for about an hour (the Chinese officers was looking curious from inside the building hided behind the courtins).
The demo after passed inside the central train station (it was a crazy reclaim the station for 15'...then the police started to pushing outside the crazymotherfuckers)according to the German style more than 11 police vans came for a demo of 100 people).
We went back followed by all this hundreds riot policemen and we continued the show with a 2 hours psychedelic ambient set from Sissy Stardust and Crystal Zero as also we played all night long visual projection in some great concerts as electro-kraut psychedelic rock goddess Lava 303, the sexyacidpsychos The Blotch, the balkandrunkenpartydjs of Volxtanzkomitee and the space odyssey of Pattys Planet.
We have to aggree that we had a great time with all this 1300 tribesmen and tribesladies
from outer space and we hope we will play again in this festival...We played all weekend in many different stages projections and music and this was great for us cause we experimented with the possibility of our collective playing in many different stages at the same time in a big international festival.

(we have to specialy thanks for their help Konni, Eyke, Jens, Wolfgang Sterneck and this beautiful woman that drived us out from the festival and we was so fuckingdrunk we can not remember her name now...sorry...We have to thank also all the nice people from the community house that accommodated us outside from Frankfurt and offered us the only calm moments of all this weekend...Thank you!)
